2021 Tech Diversity In Nigeria Finalist

You either make use of opportunity or create one!

There are two possible scenarios when it comes to being successful. 

Firstly, it is either you are fortunate to have the opportunities to scale you up. Secondly, if no external opportunities come your way, you could create one for yourself. 

Tech Diversity is the mixture of these two scenarios! 

The good news is that we have a couple of students who have put these concepts into practice. They see opportunities and make good use of them. I will share more on this just in a bit.

Before we dive into the good news, let us address some things. 

Have you ever wondered why it is challenging to complete most of the things you do? 

Especially when it is evident that some people around you tried it and they excel. 

What could now be the issue with you not finishing up what you started?

How far have you gone with a couple of concentrated efforts?

Could this be a general issue or just you? 

Let us see what Bill Gates said.

"Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years."

In order words, your approach could be the problem. It could be that you are over-focusing on the immediate result! 

Unfortunately, if those results don't seem to be coming, your default response will back off (you focussed on now). 

Rather than following or sticking to a process that will help you through the difficult times. 

What do I mean? 

You would often hear people say, let your focus be on what you can get done now!

Don't let the future intimidate you; do what you can now and never bother about years to come.

The irony thing is that I'm also guilty of these things. Yes! I only focus on now, not minding tomorrow.

These might have worked for some people, especially the older generations. Now, things have changed.

To be successful, we all need to create a process! 

Here is the point I'm trying to establish;

True success is not a Ponzi scheme (get-rich-quick-scheme). It takes not just days but years. 

Starting anything, be it a career or a project, could be discouraging at first, but if you understand that it will get better over time, it will make the whole process even better and resultful. 

Now let talk about the brave students who participated and conquered in 2021 Tech Diversity in Nigeria. 

 

Tech Diversity 2021 Finalist

With Tech Diversity In Nigeria, we aim to train university students with technology skills before graduating with no financial obligation. 

With support from stakeholders, we are able to gather resources to deliver the best quality digital education to these groups of people.

This year alone (2021), we trained 322 students from two universities in Nigeria to learn technology skills (Bayero University, Kano and Bowen University, Iwo). 

Some students emerged to the final stage in the rigorous and student-friendly course offered in our learning web app (skills.instincthub.com).

What is next for these Tech Force?

The students will be undergoing the last learning process for this year's edition. The best ten students will stand a chance to get a direct internship with Serling Bank Plc.
