How to Create a Course Certificate for a Student on InstinctHub LMS

Learn how to easily create and issue course certificates for students on InstinctHub LMS, from setting up signatures to generating and sharing certificate links.

Overview

1. Set a Primary Signature: Ensure your channel has a primary signature configured under Certificate > Signatures.
2. Locate the Student: Search for the student in the course and hover over the action icon to certify them.
3. Set Reward Option: Ensure the course's reward option is set to Certificate to avoid errors.
4. Obtain the Certificate Link: The student will receive an email with the certificate, or you can copy the link directly from the CERTIFIED tab.

Follow these steps to generate a course certificate for a student.

I. Set a Primary Signature for Your Channel

1. Go to Certificate > Signatures from your admin dashboard.

   • URL: https://icreate.ng/[your_channel_handle]/certificates/signatures
     (Replace [your_channel_handle] with your channel's username.)

   

2. Add or edit a signature and set it as primary by selecting Yes.

   

II. Locate the Student in the Course

1. Search for the specific student in the course.

   

2. Hover over the action icon in the student's row to proceed.

   

III. Set the Course Reward Option to Certificate

To issue a certificate, ensure the course's reward option is set to Certificate. If not, edit the course details.

• You may encounter this error if the reward option is not set:

  

1. Edit the course details and set the reward option to Certificate.

   

   Note: This error occurs only if the reward option is neither Certificate nor Badge.

2. Scroll down and click Update.

3. Return to the student page, hover over the action icon, and confirm the certification.

   

IV. Obtain the Certificate Link

• The student will receive an email notification with the certificate.

  

• Alternatively, you can copy the certificate link directly:

  1. Navigate to the CERTIFIED tab.

  2. Hover over the action icon in the student's row.

Note: The sample certificate may display "instincthub." Customize your channel to reflect your brand name.
