Not everyone who starts a new year’s resolution get to finish it.
My findings will shock you!
How long do you think it takes most people to drop their new year’s resolutions?
23% of people quit by the end of the first week, 64% after the first month (according to a study with Australian and UK citizens), and 81% before the end of the second year.
Why do you think that happens? It’s because people lose motivation when things get tough.
Instead of focusing on list of your new year resolutions, consider these questions alongside:
- What will stop you from starting this goal?
- What are some things that can go wrong when you are making progress?
- What can you do when you encounter failure?
- How can you prevent yourself from burning out?
- How can you get back on track to keep your momentum going?
Procrastination is one example of what can hinder you and I from achieving our gaols. I fact, I had lost of it before deciding to finally create this video.
Secondly, time management is also a big factor. What took most of your time this year that you could trim out in the following year?
After you are been honest with all this questions, put down your answers and ask what’s the best way to come out of it.
How do you avoid burn out?
If you can answer this question before you start execution, the likelihood of your success is high.
